Burr Oak State Park features over 25 miles of scenic hiking trails, picnic tables, grills, 500ft. sandy beach and a shelter house for the public use. The 664 acre lake is well known for its catch of largemouth bass, crappie, bluegills, and catfish. You can fish from the lakeshort or rent a pontoon boat from the seasonal marina, or stay the night in one of the 30 cottages. The park also offers a main campground which features 17 paved electric sites, 67 quiet non-electric campsites, and 2 camper cabins. This area includes amenities of a shower house, flush toilets, laundry facilities, and a camp store. Other activities include 19 primitive dock area camp sites, group camping, horseman’s camp, dock rentals, and hunting permitted in designated areas of the park.
